ACCE Journal

ACCE produces three editions of the ACCE Journal each year. These are sent to over 1,200 career practitioners working in a range of career education and development areas and educators, government departments and community services. The journal features reports, articles, conference information, research and reviews of career products, services and programs. Content is curated to provide career practitioners with important sector information and professional development. Copies are lodged with the National Library and State Library, Victoria.

• Edition 1 - 13 March

• Edition 2 - 29 May

• Edition 3 - 11 September

The ACCE Journal is a leading publication and one issue each year is printed. Key content areas are:

• Reports and Research - focusing on career development issues
• Professional Practice - providing examples of career development programs and activities in the community, and highlighting successful collaborations
• Labour Market - providing insight into labour market practices and trends
• Resources & Reviews of careers materials, ready-to-use worksheets, activity ideas and career development publications.

While the ACCE Journal is not a peer-reviewed, it is a high quality sector publication. If you would like to submit a paper to a peer-reviewed journal we recommend the Australian Journal of Career Development. 

Subscriptions

ACCE members receive the ACCE Journal. If you are not a member and would like a yearly subscription you can purchase this separately from the ACCE online shop.

Submitting an article

ACCE welcomes contributions to the journal about career education and development from professionals, education, industry, government, and the community. Contributions that are accepted are allocated a place in one of the key content areas. Contributors can also submit articles relevant to one or more of the CICA core or specialist competencies in the Professional Standards for Australian Career Development Practitioners:

Core Competencies

• Career Development theory
• Labour market information
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Ethical practice
• Diversity and inclusion
• Digital literacy, emerging technologies, and information management
• Professional practice application

Recommended article length is 850 words. Photos, logos and captions are encouraged in the submission. Referencing is APA 7th Edition.
