The David Osborne Community Careers Centre was opened in honour of David Osborne, a founding member of the Careers Education Association of Victoria, now the Australian Centre for Career Education (ACCE).
David Osborne had a genuine desire to see the people he worked with improve and succeed. He inspired generations of teachers to become career practitioners and his message included providing a client-centred service in an unbiased way. He encouraged reflective practise to help build capacity in young people, giving them the best chance of a successful future.
The centre is based at the ACCE head office, Melbourne Polytechnic's Greensborough campus. If you would like to visit the centre, please call to make an appointment on (03) 9433 8000 or email careercounselling@acce.org.au Our friendly staff are available to assist with any questions you may have and can help you if you are looking for professional career counselling support.

Building Careers through Respect, Hope and Guidance
David Osborne's involvement has seen the growth of the association from its humble beginnings into a leading national, professional career association. David has been acknowledged for his lifetime of contributions to the career industry and his dedication to the development of the early careers of so many ACCE members.
Affectionately known as Mr VTAC, he received a standing ovation from his peers in recognition of his work in the field and his outstanding contributions to members and the wider careers community across Victoria. He was honoured by the presence of a number of founding members, lifetime members, and colleagues from VTAC.
Those working as career professionals are working in a social justice sector. David Osborne exemplified this through his continued service to members, colleagues and the community he supported. He willingly shared his expertise with schools, vocational and tertiary education providers, while supported the work of community organisations to deliver quality career services to disengaged youth and young adults.
In honour of the career sector, CCCA's mission is provide careers counselling and consulting services to increase participation in the work force and provide relief from poverty.
