Communities of Practice
The ACCE Communities of Practice allow its members to network with others, share knowledge and information, and discuss issues.
Two Communities of Practice currently meet regularly throughout the year:
-
Community of Practice (Disability), and
-
Community of Practice (Education).
Community of Practice (Disability) supports and promotes the Inclusive Careers Benchmarking Tool developed for schools by Ticket to Work, Brotherhood of St Laurence, and ACCE. There are over 100 members, and speakers are featured at each event. A wide range of resources is also available, and members have input on the type of speakers, issues and information they need to support them in their work.
Participants come from a wide range of sectors, including all school types, TAFEs, universities, employment services and community services. To join the CoP (Disability), fill in the form here.
Community of Practice (Education) is hosted quarterly for members and students studying career development who are working in schools. Hosted by Kerry Brookes, ACCE’s Head of Teaching and Learning at the CEAV Institute, members can drop in by registering at the ACCE Events page.
Members are also encouraged to reach out with ideas and information to share and promote at the CoP (Education).
